A pair of Hans Wegner CH25 lounge chairs were brought to me by the children of the original owner who bought them in Denmark over 60 years ago. One had a frame in excellent condition and only needed some cleaning and oil before the seat and back were to be woven on. The other was in pieces due to being loose and then sat in causing the chair to fold up and shatter the main joint at the back and leg.
I rebuilt the joint and made a new tenon that was oversize and extended past the damaged area of the mortise for extra support.
The chairs came out well and are now back in their beautiful mid century home overlooking the Pacific Ocean.
